According to the company, it tries to find a way through the recession. Temporary work agencies around the world, including Randstad and Manpower, are facing huge difficulties as companies cut back on hiring.



Adecco's French subsidiary Adia has announced about its plans to cut the jobs. The planned changes will have an impact on about 1 % of the group's total full-time workforce by the end of this year. Adecco said about 100 Adia branches would be merged. The costs associated with the reorganisation at Adia are estimated to be EUR 25 million.



According to the announcement, the local management in France is committed to continue the social dialogue with trade unions and the French works councils.



The Adecco Group, based in Zurich, Switzerland, has over 31,000 employees and 6,000 offices, in more than 60 countries around the world.
