Employees of the Financial Market Council, Tunisia’s bank control body, went on strike on 9 May.



This strike was organised because the management went back on the commitments negotiated and signed with the company’s trade union.



Management is responsible for the negotiations’ failure, breach of dialogue as well as for the degradation of the social climate within the company.



Furthermore, during the reconciliation meetings, management has not shown any sign to unblock the situation.



A second strike is planned next week if the situation remains unchanged.
