![]() The unique relationship between the management and Standard Chartered Bank Union Taiwan following the merger with Hsinchu International Bank has become a model for further studies by Taiwanese universities and admired by many said Satapathy Siba Global HR Head of Standard Chartered Bank during a visit to UNI Apro office in Singapore on 5th October 2012. He thanked Christopher Ng UNI Apro Regional Secretary for facilitating a dialogue between the leadership of Taiwan Bank Union Federation to defuse the uncertainties that existed amongst the Hsinchu bank employees during the merger process. Delegation comprised the Standard Chartered Bank Taiwan Management and the SCB Trade Union together with Taiwan Federation of Financial Union [TFFU] President Lai Wan-Chi, and General Secretary Hang Shr-Shian. Mr Cheng Po-Chi representing SCB management valued the cooperation extended by the SCB Union to get over difficult situation and to improve the banks business level in Taiwan post-merger. TFFU President Lai Wan-Chai emphasized the need to educate the management to move away from the hostile approach towards trade unions with a view to control situations to take effort to build trust and confidence on trade unions during the discussions. |
