The leafleting was a part of the DHL Workers Week called by the ITF (International Transport Workers’ Federation) and UNI Global Union. During this week the trade unions and the DHL workers all over the world demand from the company:

• to respect the workers’ rights
• to recognize the trade unions,
• to stop the intimidation of the trade union activists,
• to start the proper social dialogue with the representatives of the workers, nationally, regionally, and globally.
• to take into account the workers rights, interests and demands, while making decisions on restructuring

“It is extremely important to organize workers of the multinational delivery companies, including DHL, Fedex, UPS, TNT; The CWTU of Russia is working to assure the decent work for the employees of these companies” – says the CWTU chair, Anatoly Nazeykin.



The DHL workers are not organized in Russia, and, despite numerous problems, including constant overwork and stress, don’t dare to join the trade union. The DHL Workers Week is an important boost for the CWTU of Russia organizing efforts, because it can show to the workers, that they are not alone, and that the international solidarity of the workers and their trade unions can overcome the company’s resistance.



Today, on the 12th of November, about 40 workers of DHL got the trade union leaflets. Many of them were interested by the trade union’s action, and stopped with the TU activists on the way to the workplaces.



The Communication Workers Trade Union of Russia will continue its work to assure trade union growth and decent work in the delivery and logistics companies, in a close collaboration with UNI.
