National Union of Bank Employees (NUBE) Philippines celebrated its 36th Anniversary on 7th July 2015, in Manila, Philippines. Banking industry trade union leaders from ASEAN countries, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand joined the gala celebrations packed with local cultural presentation for an entertaining evening.

Jun Umali National President of the NUBE-PH welcomed the  guest to the anniversary dinner. He shared memorable experiences of the past struggles the union has carried out to improve the social, economic and cultural development of its membership.   Jun Umali thanked UNI, UNI Apro and its founder partner organization Apro FIET for all the guidance and support given from its inception. NUBE National President paid a special tribute to Singapore Bank Employees Union [SBEU] for having introduced NUBE to the international trade union movement.     

Regional Secretary Christopher Ng extended his greetings and best wishes to the anniversary celebrations, congratulating NUBE for its untiring efforts to operationalize Banking Industry Tripartite Council successfully in Philippines. Christopher paid a special tribute to Jun Umali National President of NUBE for his immense contributions to the trade union movement both in Philippines and Internationally with special reference in ASEAN.  Acknowledging his contributions to the trade union movement UNI presented a special plaque to Bro Jun Umali.

UNI General Secretary Philip Jenning's greetings and best wishes to the NUBE PH anniversary celebration was read by Jayasri Priyalal UNI Apro Director for Finance Sector to the audience.
