Temporary agency work - New Call for tenders

UNI Europa and Eurociett issues a call for tenders for a research on the role of temporary agency work in facilitating transitions.
Today Eurociett and UNI Europa publish a call for tenders to carry out a research on the role of temporary agency work in facilitating transitions in the labour market. The research is part of a joint project carried out by the EU social partners in the temporary agency work sector and it is funded by the European Commission.
The research will provide qualitative and quantitative data on:
- The possible role of the TAW sector in facilitating transitions in the labour market (from education to work, from unemployment to work, from one job to another, etc.).
- The flux of temporary agency workers, looking at their situation before and after temporary agency work, the evolution of their careers, etc.
- The role of social partners in facilitating access to training and improve overall the quality of transitions, etc.
- The research will look at different EU Member States, and will present 4 to 6 national case studies on sectoral initiatives that demonstrate how the temporary agency work sector facilitates quality transitions.
The findings will feed into the discussions of the EU social partners in the temporary agency work sector in the context of their work programme and will be used by social partners to issue joint recommendations on how to maximise the role of TAW in facilitating transitions.
About the project
The research will be overseen by a steering committee, composed by experts of Eurociett and UNI Europa. A EU stakeholders meeting will provide input from different experts, including Members of the European Parliament, EU Commission officials, Professors, etc.
The findings of the research will be presented at the pan-European conference, which will bring together around 100 participants from a large selection of EU Member States (Eurociett and UNI Europa will invite all their members to attend). Representatives from the European Commission, European Parliament, Academia, NGOs, etc. will be invited to the conference, as well as journalists from the main European media.
The duration of the project is 11 months.
