UNI affiliate the Communications Workers of America is asking people to write T-Mobile USA’s CEO Philipp Humm and tell him to keep the U.S. call centers open.

T-Mobile workers are meeting with community leaders, local elected officials and others to fight for their jobs. The seven centres that are slated for closure are in Allentown, Pennsylvania; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Frisco and Brownsville, Texas; Thornton, Colorado; and Lenexa, Kansas.

UNI is working with CWA, German affiliate ver.di and the ITUC on the “We Expect Better” campaign calling on T-Mobile parent Deutsche Telekom to ensure T-Mobile USA workers have the right to choose union representation with the atmosphere of fear and intimidation that T-Mobile USA has created.
