Solidarity Support Statement for T-Mobile Employees
Delegates attending the 3rd UNI World Congress in Nagasaki call upon Deutsche Telekom to end the double standard for workers in its global operations. In Germany the company respects organising and collective bargaining rights with its social partner ver.di. But elsewhere in the world like Greece, Montenegro and the United States Deutsche Telekom actively undermines collective bargaining and organising rights. In the United States, the situation is more dire as workers have faced a relentless management campaign for more than six years actively opposing the union, and the result is 0% collective bargaining coverage in its largest subsidiary outside of Germany.
UNI’s Nagasaki World Congress calls upon Deutsche Telekom to sign a global agreement, and end its repressive tactics against our brothers and sisters outside of Germany.
