The Austrian Trade Union for production workers (Pro-GE) and the Union of Salaried Private Sector Employees, Graphical Workers & Journalists (GPA-djp) declare their solidarity with the Swiss protesters of the carton plant „Karton Deiswil AG” in Bern.

The plant’s workers today stage protests against the closing in front of the Vienna Grand Hotel, where the annual shareholder meeting of the owning company Mayr-Melnhof is taking place.



The speakers of the Austrian trade unions call on the owners’ responsibility for the 253 employees concerned and their families.
