Forty-one UNI MEI affiliates gathered together to discuss the activities of several multinational media companies to establish common ground and to put in place a joint strategy for future work with these companies. Disney, Cinemark, Eurosport, Planeta and Vivendi were identified as priorities for work in 2012, with the aim of improving global trade union cooperation in these companies.



UNI MEI affiliates committed to setting up a global union alliance on Disney, as well as to strengthening cooperation in other multinational media companies with the view of working towards Global Frameworks Agreements and setting up European Works Councils.
