After two years of intensive union organising and activity the Polish trade union Solidarnosc has reached an agreement with Amazon. The Polish workers at the Amazon site in Wroclaw will now have a trade union agreement that establsihes cooperation and negotiation between the union and the Global company, the first in Europe that Amazon have signed. It establishes agreement on trade union facilities, health and safety and a wage rise. The agreement was signed on January 5th 2017 after months of campaigning, actions and public media activities.

The Works Committee Chair Grezgorz Cison said -

`We are aware of how much more work awaits us in the near future. Our organization wants to meet the new technologies and the use of the unconventional activities. We must prepare for the rapid effect of digitization, which is becoming ubiquitous. We want to Poland Amazon employees feel safe and comfortable in the workplace and their remuneration as quickly as possible approximate to those of Western Europe. The agreement opens up the door to which our organization was the first in the world found the right key. We are convinced that this key will allow us to implement workers' dreams.`
