Joining the global organising campaign in Smurfit Kappa Group, workers in Smurfit Kappa Poland, Pruszkow site, have formed a branch of ZZP Union, which is affiliated to UNI.

Smurfit Kappa in Pruszkow is one of 5 sites the company has set up in Poland, with total employment of about 800 people.

The ZZP Union has been involved in the international union network since the 1990 and forming of the union in Smurfit Kappa was also widely supported by other graphical unions affiliated to UNI.

Rafal Dobrski, chair of ZZP in Smurfit Kappa said: ‘We would like to thank our trade union colleagues from Smurfit Kappa sites across Europe and beyond for their support. It has been truly inspiring and given us motivation to grow the strength of our union as we prepare to initiate the dialogue with the company’.
