Over thirty delegates representing Smurfit Kappa workers from all over Europe and Colombia in Latin America met in Warsaw on 13th and 14th December 2015.

The meeting received reports on the situation in each country and detailed profile of the company prepared by Syndex.

The Alliance agreed an action plan for the coming year and to write to the company requesting the opening of social dialogue at a global level and once again expressed its concern at the situation in Colombia. 

Simon Dubbins, President of UNI Europa Graphical and Packaging, said:‘We have taken an important step forward with the formal establishment of this Alliance which links all the Unions and the EWC together and I look forward to beginning dialogue with Smurfit Kappa’.
