Sindiquimica, Bahia, affiliated to the CNQ in Brazil, stopped work at Huhtamaki for 3 hours on August 21 in solidarity with workers in the USA.

In Brazil, the union and all Huhtamaki workers did not enter the factory during 3 hours, in a show of solidarity with USA Huhtamaki workers.

CNQ President Lucineide addressed the crowd. "Lu" had just returned from the USW Convention in Las Vegas where she addressed the more than 3,000 delegates present.  More than 10 union leaders spoke at the rally in Bahia, Brazil.
