UNI P&L's Swedish affiliate SEKO has signed a new collective contract with the employer organisation Almega covering approximately 20,000 workers in the postal and aviation sectors. The central agreement includes a wage increase of 2.6%over the next year.



The agreement with Almega covers postal workers in Post Norden and Bring CityMail as well aviation workers in Swedavia, Menzies Aviation and other workers at the Sturup and Angelhoms airports. In addition to the wage increase included in the central contract, more detailed wage and working conditions were negotiated locally.



The agreement runs from 1 June 2012 to 31 May 2013.



The contract also enforces minimum salary standards for temporary workers of at least 15, 984 Swedish kronor per month - roughly equivalent to US$2,300. It outlines better possibilities for employees working on an hourly basis to get fixed-term jobs and creates opportunities for additional training.
