Securitas, which remains the world's largest security services provider in terms of revenue, is branching further out into Eastern Europe, with an acquisition this week in Serbia.



The company's first move into Serbia, the purchase of SCP International will add €8 mln in annual sales and around 1,500 new employees.



The acquisition will be consolidated into Securitas' operations from 1 September 2008 and will provide the opportunity for SCP International employees to benefit from UNI's Global Agreement with Securitas, which protects basic labour and trade union rights and provides mechanisms for union growth.
