Sarawak Bank Employees' Union Celebrate 50th Anniversary
Almost 1000 members of SBEU together with officials, past and present gather in Kuching to celebrate its 50th Anniversary on 17 September 2016.
It is indeed a milestone event and the grandeur reflects the success of the union success and its ability to face the challenges ahead.
SBEU is a founder member of FIET, the predecessor of UNI. Its policy of members first, a springboard to its success in organising 98% of eligible employees in the Finance Sector in Sarawak. It is at the forefront of efforts to reform the trade union movement to make it more vibrant and relevant in these challenging times
Amongst the many guests at the glittering event are UNI Apro Regional Secretary Christopher Ng, leaders from UNI affiliates in ASEAN, Finance Sector Corporate figures including Chairman RHB Bank, Human Resources managers and union leaders from all over Malaysia.
