The trade union has fought for a long time, to make Vimpelkom, one of the three biggest mobile communication operators in the Eastern Europe and Central Asia, which is controlled jointly by Altimo and Telenor, guarantee the freedom of the trade union activity and the access of the trade union organizers to the workplaces. The trade union had to use the elements of media campaign, picketing, etc. Finally, in December 2009 the company agreed to meet with the trade union, and the meeting took place on the 13th of January.



During the meeting, Anatoliy Nazeikin proposed the company to sign an agreement, which would confirm the commitment of the both sides to the social dialogue, and the commitment of the company to the standards of Corporate Social Responsibility, provide the freedom of the trade union activity in the company, and establish the regular communication between the company and the trade union. The trade union project of the agreement has been delivered to the VimpelCom management during the meeting.



HR Director of the company Julia Pilipenko assured the trade union, that the company is ready to continue the dialogue, and to discuss the proposals of the Union.
