It was an important day as on the first of July Croatia became the 28th member of the European Union. 

UNI Europa's affiliates in Croatia (Commerce, Telecommunication and Banking unions) were well represented in the meeting and took part in discussions. The meeting was a good step to open further discussions among UNI Europa affiliates, governmental structures and employers representing temp employment agencies.

The purpose of the meeting was to bring together the Croatian social partners to discuss key issues, challenges and opportunities about temporary agency work in the Croatian labour market with a view to favour social dialogue.

The meeting was supported and funded by TAIEX.

The joint statement of UNI Europa and Eurociett welcoming the integration and inviting Croatian social partners to develop the national social dialogue and to join the European one, is attached.
