Workers at Proximus, members of UNI's Belgian affiliate LBC-NVK, have been taking protest action about the transfer of the company ownership without proper consultation with the employees.

At this moment they are still waiting a report of a special meeting with experts. They must verify if the transfer grade of the staff- and support workers from Proximus will be corrected when they are on the payroll of Belgacom.



If the advice of this team of expert is positive then the union will consult the workers. If the advice is negative the union and its members will not allow a transfer on the date of 01/09/2008 and more action is possible.
