If the plans for project CORA are implemented, Metro Group will get rid of 450 jobs in accounting at numerous sites around the world with Germany being worst affected.



Some initital protests have been staged in Germany with more being planned.



Employees from the affected areas have set up the Internet forum www.cora-nein-danke.de in early October which allows interested colleagues and members of the public to exchange information on the subject and to discuss countermeasures.



On 17 October, outside the ISS-DOME, numerous METRO works council members collected signatures before the ice-hockey game Dusseldorf against Krefeld. The signatures will be submitted to METRO's CEO Dr. Cordes.

On the playing field a protest banner against the planned job displacement was unfurled.
