UNI's affiliate Connect has now reached a potential way forward with BT to reach agreement and resolve the pay dispute. The union will be recommending this proposed agreement to its conference, which takes place next week and, if the conference agrees, the agreement will put this to all members in a ballot. If this approach is agreed to by both the conference and members in the ballot, Connect will be seeking to progress the issues listed in the important annex to the letter from BT as a matter of urgency. The union will also be seeking to understand the implementation of the 2008 pay round and resolve any agreed issues.
