Paléo – Switzerland’s largest outdoor music festival – launched its 2016 lineup during a press conference at UNI Global Union’s head office in Nyon.

The festival will run from the 19th of July to the 24th and feature headliners such as Muse, Iron Maiden, The Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack, The Lumineers, Bastille, Les Insus (ex-Téléphone), Tiken Jah Fakoly and Ibrahim Maalouf.

The 2016 theme of the “Village du Monde” will be Celtic. The “Village du Monde” will feature the food, music and culture of Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, Brittany, Galicia and the Asturias.

UNI Global Union General Secretary, himself a Welshman, welcomed this year’s Celtic theme but questioned the absence of Tom Jones in the Paléo line up. “It’s a great theme,” Jennings said. “I will be looking for harps, choirs, bards, leeks, lava bread and druids. Sadly there will be no Tom Jones.”
