... even though the European Directive 2009/38/EC on European Works Councils has come into force on 6 June 2011. The following member states have already completed and published their transposition laws: Poland, UK, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany and Slovakia.

The European Trade Union Institute (ETUI) as well as the European Commission are closely following the process. On their websites they publish updated overviews as well as the already transposed legal texts. It is worth to regularly check the two websites:
