High towers, unbelievable profits! High performance, incredibly poor working conditions!

These contrasts are the reason for a joint project of the IG BAU and UNI Global Union in the commercial cleaning sector. Since March 2011 a team of IG BAU organisers works on site, in one-to-one meetings, distributing information and organising the cleaners.

The working conditions faced by some of them are shocking. Legal requirements are not met and they have to deal with cleaning huge areas. But the beginning has been made and soon it is also in Frankfurt's financial district:
