The European Commission is reviewing the proposal to merge T-Mobile and Orange in UK.



Deutsche Telekom and France Telecom lodged the proposal for a joint venture last week, four months after the merger was first announced.



This merger would create the UK's largest telecom operator with 37% market share, well ahead of current leaders Telefonica O2 and Vodafone.



The European Commission has until February 15 to decide whether the merger will have a negative effect on the market.
