NUNW Malaysia has successfully organized Utusan Media Sales, a subsidiary company of Utusan Malaysia Group, on 3rd April 2014 where a secret ballot resulted in 83.3 % voting in favour of the union. NUNW has used the techniques learnt from the "Organizing Training for Graphical Sector" held on 19-21 Nov 2013 and the "Youth Breaking Through Seminar" held on 27 Nov-1st Dec 2013 in Kuala Lumpur. Andy Snoddy, Head of UNI Global Graphical & Packaging, congratulated the Malaysian Newspaper Workers Union and its General Secretary, Soosai Raj Savarmuthu, on their latest organising success. He said "This is a fantastic result for the workforce and the ballot result is a fitting tribute to all the hard work put in by the NUNW organisers. I look forward to meeting those involved when I next visit Malaysia".
