After several months of discussions with the company, SINTRAPULCAR - Tocancipá has agreed with Kimberly the modification of the agreements from fixed-term to indefinite duration.

This changes the lives of hundreds of workers who had fixed-term contracts. They will now have greater job security and basic aspects such as more access to loans from banking institutions.

Without a doubt this is a victory for the union, an organisation that has spared no effort to improve the working conditions of workers in the company.

The win adds to several achievements obtained such as the collective agreement, and salary increases and levelling between 11% and 17% for workers.

On February 5, 2014 meetings were held with workers and union leaders in order to assess the implementation of the collective agreement and the relationship between the union and Kimberly Clark, before the upcoming meeting to be held in Atlanta in March, when the Social Dialogue Agreement between UNI and the company will be assessed.
