Sintrapulcar leaders and workers from Cajiá SCA-Family plant, UNI Graphical & Packaging and the National Labour School met earlier this week to prepare for negotiations with the company next week.

Andy Snoddy Head of UNI Global Graphical & Packaging said “We will be closely watching this situation, we expect a company like SCA to use its influence to ensure that union members in SCA Familia are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve”. SCA is a Swedish based multinational with a 50% shareholding in SCA Familia in Colombia. SCA is a signatory to a Global agreement with IndustriALL which states “SCA also recognizes and respects basic trade union rights covering freedom of association, right to organize and the right to engage in collective bargaining”.
