MUBE condemns the irresponsible and aggressive behaviour of Bank managers towards its staff where employees have been made to fill out the survey in way which puts the company in a good light. If not, the Bank has threatened the Maltese workforce by suggesting that HSBC Malta will lose out and will suffer the consequences. MUBE believes this is senseless and evidence of the bank's prevailing attitude towards its staff which they feel has been counter-productive and term as ‘managing by fear’. It is for this reason that MUBE is urging all of its members to disregard the survey and report any pressure exerted by line-managers. Non-members who abide by MUBE’s demand will also enjoy MUBE’s protection. MUBE believes that Malta’s well performing HSBC employees deserve better.
