Mobilisation of the workers from private radios in Argentina



The plenary meeting composed of the delegates of Intersindical Radial led to a declaration of permanent state of alert and mobilization following to the infringement of the wage convention.



The Argentinian Association of Workers in the field of Communications (AATRAC), the Argentinian Society of Broadcasters (SAL) and the Union of Public Entertainment and related sectors (SUTEP) urge all the workers from private radios to mobilize on Thursday 14 June after the failure of the negotiations with the Argentinian Association of Private Broadcasters (ARPA).



The uncompromising line of the employers of the sector (ARPA) preventing any recomposition nor increase of the minimum wages which should have entered into force as from 1 April 2012 according to the collective bargaining, resulted in the impossibility of coming to an agreement during the negotiations launched by the Department of Employment Relations of the Ministry of Labour.



Therefore, Intersindical Radial calls for mobilization and exhorts to defend the salaries that had been agreed on. UNI Américas acknowledges the fighting spirit of Intersindical Radial and supports its righteous claims.
