BRANTFORD, ON, May 30 /CNW/ - Contract negotiations between the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation and the CAW have been ongoing since early this month, with the two sides still very far apart despite a looming strike deadline.

The strike deadline has been set for 12:01 a.m. on Sunday June 1, 2008 which will effect OLG's operations at Casino Brantford, Slots at Sudbury Downs and Slots at Woodbine Racetrack.

The CAW represents close to 1,000 OLG employees.

Hemi Mitic, assistant to CAW president, will be providing an update on negotiations for all three locations at a media conference tomorrow.
