UNI Global Union and its entire family send heartfelt condolences to the victims and families of this latest atrocity.

The attack in Manchester last night was cowardly and callous, cynically targeting young people, many of them children, to maximize fear and revulsion. However, the reaction of the concert-goers to help each other and the response of the wider community to assist, be it taxi-drivers, hoteliers or passing members of the public, shows the true spirit of multi-ethnic Manchester.

The people of Manchester, including their leaders and trade unionists, remain unbowed in the face of this despicable act.

Your UNI Global Union friends around the world are in sympathy and solidarity with all of you. We stand united with the city of Manchester in this dark hour.
