UNI Commerce affiliate Koop-Is president Eyup Alemdar has been appointed General Organising Secretary of TURK-IS following the resignation of Mustafa Kumlu who stepped down after 6 years



TURK-IS represents 185,000 public servant members. Mr Alemdar will continue as president of Koop-Is.



The Head of UNI Commerce, Alke Boessiger said, "We at UNI send our warm congratulations to Mr Alemdar and we wish him well in this very important position. He and his colleagues at Koop-Is and TURK-IS can rely on UNI's full support as Turkish unions fight hard to ensure decent work for their members."
