During  a hard hitting interview on Fox Business News, UNI Global Union General Secretary, Philip Jennings said that international institutions such as the IMF, and the World Bank had at last woke up to the importance of unions having a voice, the right to collective bargaining and freedom of association. 

Jennings told Fox tv's Maria Bartiromo that a new norm that did not include decent work and a strong labour movement was unsustainable. He added that the American Dream was not working for millions of  low paid employees and unemployed Americans.
