This is the third year that the Tribunal has held public hearing to shine the light on systematic labor right abuses in Mexico. Cil@s, Centro de Investigación Laboral y Asesoría, lead the day off with a moving speech about the need for the International Tribunal to continue its work in documenting labor and human rights abuses in Mexico. Both UNI Americas and CSA addressed the Tribunal and the gave their support for the critical work that the Tribunal has engaged in. During the open session, more than 10 different worker organizations presented their cases to the International Tribunal, which is comprised of leading attorneys and scholars from Argentina, Canada, Chile, Mexico, Spain, Uruguay and the United States. The Tribunal also presented its Declaration to the Mexican unions on the May 1st. at the Zócalo.
