The severe economic crisis and the deep recession in Greece continues to have a dramatic impact on the country’s economy, including on employment in the retail sector.

The trade union of IKEA workers in Greece, with the continuing support of UNI Commerce and its affiliated Greek Federation OIYE, have been standing together to protect wages, employment levels and working conditions in these times of crisis.

The struggle continues but shows signs of success.

The IKEA union in Greece is now going to renew its union mandate. Elections for workers representatives will be held on March 15, 2015.

UNI Commerce calls on all IKEA workers in Greece to participate in the union election and to support the efforts of their union, especially on the eve of new political and economic developments in the country.

Together with UNI Commerce and the UNI IKEA Global Union Alliance we will win for IKEA workers in Greece.
