UNI Commerce supports the colleagues in Swedwood, USA fighting for their right to join a union, and for their right to have a work place which will not endanger the health and safety on a daily basis.



The plant in Danville, Virginia have already been fined USD 10.000 and there are reports about 8 workers being injured while doing their job. Even though BWI has been in contact with the management of both IKEA and Swedwood, which IKEA owns 100%, there has been no response from the company.



IKEA should respect the proud culture of labour relations which eminates from its home country Sweden and stop denying its workers this simple right.
