UNI-MEI affiliate IATSE concluded negotiations with the Hollywood Employers successfully Wednesday after nine days of negotiations. The negotiations took place in an uncertain environment after the negotiations between SAG and the AMPTP broke down in June. "This was a tough negotiation during tough economic times, but both sides worked hard and negotiated reasonably to come to this agreement," said IATSE President and UNI-MEI Vice President Matt Loeb Wednesday. "This new agreement both protects members and allows new media to evolve", he added. Matt took over the Presidency of IATSE this summer after Thomas C. Short retired.



In a reaction to the agreement UNI-MEI congratulated Matt Loeb and its negotiations team for securing and improving economic and new media rights.
