Bro. Woo Taik-Kyun President of HSBC Employees Union in Korea and Mr. Matthew Dekins CEO of HSBC Korea finalized the 2009 wage settlement by entering in to a collective agreement on 12th February 2010. Bank offered 2.8% wage increase with a payment of 3 Million won to employees in the settlement. Over 60% of the membership accepted the offer for a settlement. Bro. Woo Taik-Kyun valued the unity of their membership and said their union will work towards building up cordial relations with the management. UNI affiliate KFCLU and HSBC Employees Union thanked all the UNI affiliates who extended solidarity support with fraternal messages at the time of the dispute.
