29 members of UNI Graphical & Packaging Executive committee recently met in Copenhagen, Denmark, to set new priorities for the world's Graphical and Packaging Unions.



There was wide ranging debate on many issues, ranging from technological developments affecting the industry to implementing and expanding our global agreements.



Marvin Largaespada reported on the difficulties workers at Kimberly Clark are facing in organising a union in Colombia and Andy Snoddy updated delegates on the organising campaign at Amcor in Turkey.



Dr Martin Bulla presented his research on the global distribution of multinational packaging plants and this was followed by a lively discussion on the need for a new and effective organising strategy in Central and Eastern Europe.



Andy Snoddy, the new Head of UNI Graphical & Packaging, said “I was really impressed not only by the depth of knowledge and debate but also by the commitment, shown by all, to organising in our industry”.
