After nine months of negotiation a formal nod has been given to the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) Collective Agreement 2008 – 2010.

The Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy Senator Conroy has approved the deal - and he also approved Union and Management requests to have the pay increase backdated to 1 January 2008.



The final version of the Agreement will be placed on the ACMA intranet from 12th May 2008 to 23rd May 2008 for employees to consider.

A vote will then be conducted by Elections Australia of all eligible staff during the period 26th May 2008 to 30 May 2008.



If accepted the Agreement will be signed by representative of parties to the Agreement and should come into effect about a week later.
