Next week on November 12, 13 and 16 Unite’s members at Fujitsu will go on strike after a vote in favour of industrial action. Employees decided for a strike after Fujitsu proposed 1’200 redundancies out of the 12’500 jobs in the 26 UK offices. Other issues like pay and the closure of the final-salary pension scheme to new staff were also mentioned as reasons for the strike.



Last month, Unite already announced an action over HP’s decision to remove final salary pension arrangements and performance benefits worth approximately £2’000 each to 150 employees of HP IT services.



Unite national officer Peter Skyte declared “our members are saying enough is enough”.
