French employees of Adecco, the biggest subsidiary of the Swiss private employment agency, organised a national strike on April 9.



The unions reported up to 80 percent of employees stopped their work in different regions and around 800 people were protesting in the streets of Paris, Villeurbanne, Toulouse, Lille, Nice, Nantes...



Four French unions - CFDT, CGC, FO and UNSA - agreed to protest against a proposed change in the compensation system that will lead to a loss of income for employees. Regardless to announced profit, there was no increase in salaries since 2008.



French trade unions representing Adecco employees say: "There is no social dialogue in the company, we are tired of the monologue".



UNI Europa TAW supports its French affiliates and calls Adecco to resume a meaningful and efficient dialogue with trade unions.
