UNI europa participated, with a strong representation of its youth group, supporting action for employment and a social Europe.



The Brussels demonstration, 15 May, was one in a series of four which gathered in total some 350 000 people in Madrid, Brussels, Prague and Berlin.



The UNI europa Regional Secretary, Bernadette Ségol, addressed the crowd calling for a responsible and transparent finance sector at the service of the real economy.



ETUC is demanding a new social agenda that takes seriously into account employment, pay, equal treatment, an increase in purchasing power and a social reorientation of policies.



The marches was also a reminder of the trade union demands for a social Europe, only a few weeks before the European Parliament elections.
