Negotiation teams for SPEEA’s (The Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace) Wichita Engineering Unit (WEU) and Spirit AeroSystems resumed negotiations Tuesday (Sept. 22) with a US federal mediator at the table.



After opening remarks, SPEEA presented its counterproposal to the most recently rejected contract offer. Additionally, the recent polling results from Wilson Research Center were presented to the company and discussed.



Spirit committed to present SPEEA a comprehensive proposal at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.



SPEEA remain hopeful that Spirit will return with an offer that respectfully responds to the counterproposal SPEEA presented.
