34 Participants from all over Europe including Italy, Ireland, Poland, Norway, Switzerland, Latvia, Belgium, Greece and England took part in the UNI Europa Youth Summer School held in Hamburg, Germany.



Tutoring the course this year was: Colin Medland, Head of UNI Youth, Keith Pollard, UNI Europa Youth President and Christian Wölm, UNI Europa Steering Group Member. However, this year we had the pleasure of inviting Nick Nicholls from the UK to help tutor this course. Nick is one of the most experienced trade union tutors that we know and had the pleasure to work with, all the participants thoroughly enjoyed Nick’s tutoring!



The summer school started in 2006 with the intention to be the first introduction to trade unions for European trade unionists, to educate them on different models and cultures. The school has been a welcome addition to the UNI Europa Youth agenda and from previous years the experiences and knowledge has gone back to their respective unions and assisted with more training locally.



The opportunity was truly a unique experience for all that took part and the learning and friendships made at the course continues!
