The European Working Committee of BNP Paribas met from 7 to 9 November 2012 in Brussels for its winter plenary session.

On this occasion, the members of the European Group are aware of the results achieved by the BNP Paribas Group in the third quarter of 2012.

Although we are satisfied with the good results presented by the Director General Mr Jean-Laurent Bonnafé, the European Works Council was also able to see that the company still suffers the global economic situation which particularly affects Europe.

Members of the European Works Council would like to emphasize that these good news are the result of the strong involvement of women and men working in BNP Paribas in all countries.

That is why they will take care, with special attention to use of the Agreement on social management signed the 10th July 2012, the first part of the European Social Charter of the group, by the different directions countries of the European system of BNP Paribas.

This is the reason why, in response to the insistence of European Works Council, the Executive Management has agreed to hold an exceptional plenary in January 2013 on the situation in Europe for its securities business line in BNP Paribas Securities.
