On July 21, employees of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited went out on a rally and demonstrated against cancelation of Unified Pay Scales. The rally started from the Regional Office and then moved to the Quetta Press Club where the demonstration was held. Employees wearing black bands around their arms carried placards and banners with slogans of their demands. They demanded that all the contract employees should be regularized, chain of promotions and suitable rise in salaries including the increase announced by the government recently. They urged submission of report by the committee formed by the government to resolve dispute between employees and PTCL management.
