Dexia announced another restructuring plan, the third part of its Transformation plan, after more than 1500 jobs were already lost in 2009 and 2010.



Another 665 jobs will be cut in 2011. Half of them within Dexia Bank Belgium. Dexia Bank Belgium’s trade unions have serious doubts about management’s willingness to find alternative solutions to reduce costs ie. in properties, bonuses for the management committee and exuberant spending in consultancy.



The trade unions asked many questions, but received few answers. Belgian trade union BBTK-SETCa prepares for action in the following days and weeks, while keeping the door open for social dialogue.
